Oaty Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Tasty and comforting, these cookies combine lovely oaty texture with a hit of chocolate indulgence
Serves 25-30|Takes 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
110g soft butter
110g caster sugar
110g soft brown sugar
1 egg
2tbsp water
1tsp vanilla extract
250g Flahavan’s Progress Oatlets
110g self raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
100g Butlers 40% Milk Chocolate Bar
METHOD:
Cream the butter and sugars together with a wooden spoon (or electric whisk) until the mixture appears fluffy and light.
Beat in the egg, water and vanilla extract. Chop the Butler’s 40% Milk Chocolate bar into small chunks. Stir through the oats, flour, salt and chocolate chunks until the mixture becomes thick and sticky.
Roll the dough into walnut-sized pieces and space them out neatly on to a lined baking sheet.
Bake at 180C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. for approx. 18 mins until light golden brown (they should still be soft).
Allow to cool for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.
